December Planning

At the moment the LPSA would love to have a Christmas party for our little ones!!! We usually meet ate Red Cross twice a year. We decided it would be great if we were able to have a Christmas party when we meet in December. So we have decide to add out letter for donations to this post.If you have any ideas that can help us make this extra special please e-mail us at "littlepeopleofsouthafrica@gmail.com

We are a newly formed support group called “Little People of South Africa”. The LPSA was started to help children and adults who have skeletal dysplasia more commonly known as Dwarfism. Our aim is to raise awareness about this condition, and to instill a scene of belonging to all who may be living with this condition.

We are currently planning a Christmas Party for our little ones who meet at Red Cross Genetics clinic twice a year. We decided to turn the December “gloomy hospital visit” day into a fun Christmas party day, its going to mean so much to them as some of our little ones come from seriously underprivileged areas, and they do not have much. We saw this need and decided that a Christmas party will be such a treat for the little ones who are less fortunate. More importantly, it’s one of those rare occasions where our kids have a chance to feel that they are not alone in this big world.

Kids and adults with Dwarfism have a hard time dealing with a society that can sometimes be un-accepting and cruel, so all we really want is to make them feel extra special with a bit of Christmas cheer.

If there is any way that you can assists it would be greatly appreciated.

Our Vision

Our Mission

We celebrate with pride that little people are “people” first.

We aim to raise awareness about the needs and challenges facing all little people in order to eradicate ignorance and prejudice in the wider community.

We strive to improve the quality of life of little people by campaigning for better services for all little people.

We desire to create a warm hearted atmosphere by focusing on relationship-building within the group.

We are non-judgmental in our approach to others by accepting everyone as uniquely and wonderfully created by God.

Little People of South Africa seek to encourage a sense of “Ubuntu” amongst ourselves by uniting in our goals.

We endeavor to offer solutions to issues affecting people of little stature and their families and create public awareness thereof.
